Since opening its first Beirut site in 2011, Em Sherif has been widely credited for putting Lebanese fine dining on the map. Chef patron Mireille Hayek has continuously captured the hearts of diners with tantalising food that feels elevated yet still traditional, while her chic dining spaces achieve the same balance. Em Sherif’s first European restaurant, found on our Second Floor, is no different.
Come with a voracious appetite. The menu, delivered by Mireille’s daughter Yasmina is abound with delectable dishes. There are pillowy za'atar man'oushe still warm from the oven – perfect for dipping in silky-smooth hummus with sautéed Wagyu beef; salads to cover the entire table, from vibrant fattouch to lentil soujouk with spicy sausage; sesame-studded falafels and plenty more.
Don’t miss Em Sherif’s irresistible range of desserts while you’re here, all of which provide the perfect finish to a Lebanese feast. The signature rice pudding infused with orange blossom and rose water and topped with puffed rice, is worth the trip alone. And then there’s also, of course, a brilliant selection of wines, beers, cocktails and soft drinks (including an impressive array of teas) to choose from.
