Mars’ distillery in Shinshu benefits from a natural, unspoiled landscape, with direct access to pure spring water slowly filtered through the granite layers of the surrounding mountains. The Mars Maltage “Cosmo” is a blended Japanese that includes whisky from this region, offering sweet notes of vanilla with layers of fruit – cherry, raspberry, pear and apple – with a finish of fresh plums, red grapes and lingering chocolate.
