Apple crosses the foldable frontier.
Fifteen years in the making, the iPhone Duo has finally arrived. Apple engineers first filed a patent describing a flexible display in 2011; these initial sketches, followed by years of development and innovation, have led to the brand’s triumphant foray into the foldable world – and its biggest hardware redesign in decades.
The iPhone Duo presents two displays: a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch flexible inner display with a Nano-texture finish – when unfolded, the inner display is the largest screen ever fitted to an iPhone. All this is achieved while keeping the device pocket-sized and ultra-thin thanks to the precision-engineered hinge. A water- and dust-resistant titanium frame ensures the Duo remains durable, while two 48MP cameras complete the remarkable design.
