Dior Fashion
When Christian Dior presented his New Look in 1947, it was received as a revolution for the fashion world. Following years of wartime austerity, the extravagant fabrics, full A-line skirts and cinched waists represented a return to glamour. Fast-forward almost 80 years and the Parisian maison continues to set the tone for elegance. Since his debut show for the house in June 2025, creative director for women’s, men’s and haute couture collections Jonathan Anderson has been lauded for his recoding of Dior’s iconic heritage across ready-to-wear and accessories.
Daydreaming and Walks in the Park
The Jardin des Tuileries in Paris played backdrop to Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2026 womenswear collection – an apt setting for the blooming floral accents, natural world-inspired brocade and feather trims that paraded down the catwalk. Evoking the feeling of an elegant promenade through the city’s parks, the show leaned into the theatre of Parisian life and the way that fashion slots into this.
Classical Ornament
Jonathan Anderson artfully balances old and new with the men’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, resulting in a considered reinterpretation of house codes. Classic tailoring draws on archival designs, while unexpected details such as sequins, fringing and three-dimensional flowers are sprinkled throughout for some contemporary Anderson flair.
My Dior
Victoire de Castellane has been delighting Dior devotees with her designs since the late 1990s when she became artistic director of the jewellery division. For the latest My Dior collection, the French jeweller spotlights scintillating diamonds and intricate gold metalwork that reference the cannage motif – a signature that nods to the woven chairs used to seat guests at early Dior fashion shows.
