Based in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Northern Burgundy, Domaine Fourrier is a producer that’s gained quite a reputation for the silky finesse of its Pinot Noirs. Its approach to the unfiltered 2013 Clos Saint-Jacques is methodical; minimal intervention allows the grapes to flourish naturally, and from there they’re carefully picked without crushing to preserve the tannins and aged for 16-20 months in new oak.
