Harrods Terms and Policies
Accessibility Statement
Harrods is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, regardless of which technology you choose to use or any accessibility requirements you may have. We are actively working to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act and to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. The WCAG explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.
What We’re Doing to Improve
We are training our digital teams on digital accessibility and ensuring everything we design and build is accessible. We require all third-party suppliers we work with to also comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
We have conducted an accessibility audit to evaluate our website’s compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. Users should be able to:
· zoom in up to 400% and still be able to use the website
· navigate the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
· access the website content using a screen reader
While we comply with the majority of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, we acknowledge that some barriers remain and may affect certain users' experience. This includes some links which do not clearly describe their purpose when read in context, making navigation more difficult for screen reader users.
We are currently prioritising the resolution of outstanding issues and are implementing improvements as part of our ongoing accessibility roadmap.
