5 New Home Brands to Know
In his day, Alfred d’Orsay was known as the ‘dandiest of dandies’, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and Lord Byron. He was also a gifted creator. The story goes that when he met Lady Marguerite Blessington in 1821, he fell so deeply in love that he wanted to crystalise that affection in perfume form and so his eponymous fragrance brand was born. Today, D’Orsay makes a wide range of fragrances and scents for the home; among the most popular is Au Même Endroit, which combines top notes of freshly cut grass with base notes of leather.

There’s the Eccentric one, boasting confident, unconventional notes of blood orange, maple syrup and bourbon; the self-confessed Socialite, comprising honey, pomegranate and amber; and the sweet Darling, captured by rose, violet and cedarwood. And, just like in real life, each candle is designed to perfectly complement the others.
