Covid-19: Announcement of Our Store Closure
Customers and colleagues can find the latest statements and updates pertaining to our protective measures here. This section will be updated regularly.
We must put the health and wellbeing of our employees first, and support as many of our colleagues as possible to stay at home. Therefore, having already closed most of the store, we have also decided to close our Food Halls and Pharmacy services on Wednesday 25th March at 6pm.
We are proud to have continued to provide for our local customers for as long as we could. We will now be working with our charity partners and hospitals to ensure that our food goes to those doing important work in the local community over the weeks ahead.
While our Knightsbridge store may be temporarily closing, we invite customers to visit us at harrods.com and our social channels will continue to keep us close to our global community.
Harrods stands together with London at this difficult time, until we can safely open our doors again. We wish all of our customers, partners and friends well and look forward to seeing you again very soon.
Managing Director, Harrods
Does the closure affect all Harrods restaurants and health, beauty and other in-store services?
With the exception of our Food Halls and the Harrods Pharmacy, all Harrods departments, services, events and restaurants will be temporarily closed. Fresh produce, groceries, baked goods and coffee will remain available to purchase across our Fresh Market Hall, Roastery & Bake Hall and Chocolate department.
What support are you offering to those helping to tackle the outbreak of Covid-19 in London?
Harrods began its journey as a grocer and will continue to support the local community in this way, keeping our Food Halls and pharmacy open to the public. We are offering all NHS employees 50% off their purchases in the Food Halls during this time. Please note that this applies to all transactions in the Food Halls, apart from alcohol, confectionery and caviar. We are also ensuring that key workers and vulnerable members of the community receive priority during the first hour of trading every day.
Can I still shop at Harrods online?
Our website is fully operational, and we will continue delivering to our customers all over the world.
What protective measures are being taken to ensure online deliveries are handled safely?
For customers ordering online, we have been working closely with our external courier services to keep up to date with extra precautions that have been introduced. Our courier services are all stringently following Government advice and communicating health-and-safety guidelines with their employees. As well as this, they have also introduced additional measures to offer alternative delivery options for recipients
I have an appointment booked at The Hair & Beauty Salon or The Wellness Clinic. Can I get a refund?
The Hair & Beauty Salon and The Wellness Clinic will be temporarily closed for services. Our teams will be in contact with all clients who have previously booked appointments to offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.
I have an item from Harrods that I need to return
