The bold, multicoloured floral strass of the Christian Louboutin Iriza pumps hints at the rebellious inspiration behind the label. After a visit to Paris’ National Museum of African and Oceanic Arts in 1976, Mr. Louboutin spotted a sign that forbade women from wearing heels, claiming they damaged the building’s wooden flooring. From that moment, he endeavoured to create footwear that would break the rules and – most importantly – empower their wearer.
