Opus One Red Opus One 2015 (75cl) - Napa Valley, USA

Opus One was born from a collaboration between two iconic winemaking families: Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. Their shared vision to fuse centuries of winemaking tradition with innovative techniques, resulted in the pair crafting exceptional wine in the heart of Napa Valley, where the terroir and careful farming created true expressions of the year. The warmest year since 2008, 2015 saw early flowering and a lower yield than expected, but perfect ripening conditions were seen by the end of August. This vintage opens with a nose of dark fruit, spice and baked goods with hints of sage and tea, while on the palate, finely grained tannins provide structure to flavours of plum, blueberry and blackberry.
