5 of the Best Cocktail Bars in Harrods

Words by Henry Coldstream

In our books, there’s no right or wrong occasion for a cocktail. Sometimes a moment simply calls for one, be it a celebratory spritz, a pre-meal negroni or a late-night espresso martini. Although we’d never be one to dissuade you from mixing up your own concoctions at home (see below for our at-home mixology essentials), it is hard to beat the feeling of being sat in a bar, sipping on a cocktail and watching on as the experts do their thing. After all, an exceptional cocktail isn’t the same without an incredible setting to match.

Luckily, here at Harrods we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to places to enjoy a cocktail, with a variety of different bars and restaurants spread out across The Terracotta Palace waiting to serve you a memorable tipple. There’s also plenty on offer for non-drinkers, with all our bars offering an equally brilliant selection of non-alcoholic options. From a glitzy Lower Ground Floor hideaway with an inventive, often changing drinks menu to the glamour of The Georgian’s standalone bar, these are the spots you should be heading to next time you’re on the hunt for a cocktail in Knightsbridge.

Baccarat Bar

Enter via a private entrance on Hans Crescent, descend the stairs and find yourself in the dazzling surroundings of the Baccarat Bar – a stage for some of the most inventive cocktails Knightsbridge has to offer. Sink into one of the plush banquettes or pull up a seat at the bar and watch on as Baccarat’s talented team of mixologists get to work.

An extensive cocktail menu changes seasonally – the current offering takes inspiration from various photography effects – and comes split into pairs of drinks made using the same raw ingredients but crafted by different members of the team. So, whether you’re looking to go on a voyage of cocktail discovery or simply are on the hunt for a seductive new date night haunt, The Baccarat Bar has you covered.
