Lipolysis Body Contouring | From £1,000
Lipolysis body contouring is a non-invasive approach that targets stubborn fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise, using advanced technologies such as CoolSculpting (cryolipolysis) and SculpSure (laser lipolysis).
These treatments can effectively reshape the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back, love handles, male chest, and submental area, providing permanent fat reduction and, in some cases, subtle skin tightening.
CoolSculpting works by applying controlled cooling to crystallise and selectively destroy fat cells. These damaged cells undergo apoptosis, or programmed cell death, and are gradually eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system over several weeks to months, with each session reducing up to 20–25% of targeted fat cells.
SculpSure uses laser energy to heat and disrupt fat cells, which are then metabolised naturally, while the thermal energy may also stimulate collagen remodelling in the surrounding dermis, resulting in subtle skin tightening. Each SculpSure session can remove up to 24% of targeted fat cells.
Treatment plans begin with a detailed imaging assessment to map body contours and identify precise target areas. CoolSculpting sessions typically last 35–60 minutes per area, while SculpSure treatments take around 25 minutes per area, with multiple areas often treated in a single session. Most patients require two to four sessions spaced weeks apart to achieve optimal results.
Both procedures are FDA-cleared, non-invasive and safe. CoolSculpting involves mild suction and cold sensations that become numb within minutes, while SculpSure delivers alternating warm and cool sensations, usually felt as a gentle tingling. Temporary side effects may include mild soreness, numbness, or slight bruising, which typically resolve quickly.
Visible improvements can appear as early as three weeks, with optimal results observed between six weeks and six months. Treated fat cells are permanently eliminated while surrounding tissues remain unaffected. Maintaining results with a balanced diet and regular exercise is recommended for long-term body contouring.
