5 Men’s Golf Brands to Know

Words by Tony Wilkes

Golf clothes have had a rather bad rap. Other
sportswear staples – like rugby shirts and varsity jackets – have long held trending status. But a golf shirt tucked into shorts? Not so lucky. In the early years of the 20th century, golf was bracingly modern, considered the sport of society’s most stylish men. Now, a century later, golf clothes are beginning to regain their glory. Here are five men’s brands for looking your best on the green and beyond.

Manors

Not everyone can ring up Mac Boucher or Tom Holland and his brothers and invite them to a game of golf. Manors can. Arriving at Harrods this spring, the British brand underwent a major overhaul in 2020 – specialising in performance apparel while cultivating a close-knit community of enthusiasts across the world. “Golf is hard,” said co-founder Luke Davies when the brand relaunched, “so it makes sense that most brands want to help people improve – but there’s more to it than shooting low”. For Manors, golf is fundamentally about having fun. With its fusion of modern style and functionality, it has taken the golf world by storm.

Moorer

“I am convinced that true beauty lies in the essentials,” says Moorer founder Moreno Faccincani. “Each collection is a celebration of purity and elegance, embodying the perfect balance between luxury and simplicity.” Founded in Verona, the brand delivers golf gear rooted in principles of Made in Italy – namely, quality materials and faultless craftsmanship. Case in point, its new Doral Golf Jacket is cut from a breathable waterproof fabric and fitted with heat-sealed seams, side zips for extra ventilation and comfortable raglan sleeves for freedom of movement. Meanwhile, its versatile look means it can also work as your go-to jacket for spring.

J.Lindeberg

In 1996, Johan Lindeberg quit his job at Diesel and set off on his motorbike for a golfing tour through the South of France. As he played, Lindeberg had an epiphany: golf clothes were outdated, uninspiring and lacked flair. What if a brand could merge performance with trending aesthetics? J.Lindeberg was his answer. In its latest collection, you’ll find a range of activewear that can’t be distinguished from the hottest new arrivals in Menswear on the Second Floor. Its Celian Overshirt, Tech Jun Trousers and Alex Half-Zip Sweatshirt will all incorporate easily into a classic capsule wardrobe.

RLX Ralph Lauren

Leaning on a golf club, cocktail in hand – so goes the example of Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bear. The dapper mascot fronts several staples in the RLX sports collection this season, arriving alongside fail-safe essentials that will take you from tee-off to drinks at the clubhouse. Beyond the course, the brand’s preppy aesthetic is a trend to know for Spring/Summer 2025. Be sure to check out our guide to modern preppy dressing – much of this sportswear applies well here.

Bogner

Keen skiers will already know the name Bogner. One of the world’s most respected brands on the slopes, its alpine apparel dates to 1930, and has even been worn by James Bond. Well, good news: Bogner also makes golf kit. Its functionality is proven by two-time champion Bernhard Langer, a brand ambassador, who arrived at his final Masters Tournament at Augusta National this year wearing a matching white polo and trousers with neat contrast trims – a look you can recreate via our latest edit.
