The Chocolate Block was the very first wine to be made with Boekenhoutskloof’s OXOline system within the renovated maturation cellar at the Helderberg winery. In this, its 21st vintage from 2022, frequent rainfall imparted perfumed aromas and balanced tannins to the palate of ripe plums, blackcurrant and dried cranberries, bolstered by subtle hints of cured meat and espresso.
