The latest focus of Montblanc’s Masters of Art collection is Pierre Auguste Renoir, an Impressionist artist whose talent for conveying light and movement was pivotal to the aesthetic of 19th-century art. This limited edition version of the 888 fountain pen refers to Renoir’s time as an apprentice porcelain painter: not only is the body made from special lacquer designed to resemble porcelain, but the platinum-coated cap top is accented with the classic blue paint and is engraved with ‘1854’, the year Renoir began his apprenticeship.
