Domaine de la Vougeraie is a relatively new estate, creating its first vintage in 1999 after several vineyards were amalgamated by the Boisset family. Today, the winery sits between the Pinot Noir-dominated Côte de Nuits and the Chardonnay-led Côte de Beaune, meaning the label specialises in both. For its Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot Monopole Vougeot Premier Cru 2022 vintage, the Chardonnay grapes are softly pressed before being aged in neutral oak barrels, which help give this blend its toasted notes of pear and peach, and its satin-like medium body.
