Harrods Terms and Policies

Services

1. Customers may book a beauty service in any H Beauty store on their preferred date and time (i) by reserving and paying the treatment fee in store, or (ii) by calling a H Beauty store, making an advance reservation and paying the treatment fee in store on the date of their appointment, subject to the remaining terms and conditions below (“Service Booking”).


2. Customers will be eligible to redeem the treatment fee against a single purchase of selected beauty products, subject to the remaining terms and conditions below (“Product Offer”).


3. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel this offer (or any part of it) and/or amend these terms and conditions at its discretion.


4. Any customer data taken will be processed in accordance with Harrods Privacy Policy available at harrods.com/privacy.


5. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Service Booking


7. Customers will be required to pay the full treatment fee prior to beginning their treatment.


8. Upon making a Service Booking, customers will receive a confirmation email which must be presented at the time of their treatment.


9. Service Bookings are subject to availability. General terms and cancellation policies apply, please ask at the time of booking for full details.


10. Please note that people under 16 years old completing a beauty treatment must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


11. If for any reason a customer’s preferred treatment is not suitable, at the Promoter’s discretion the Promoter may make an alternative option available which is equal to the value of the original treatment.


12. Products used during the treatment may contain allergens and the Promoter will not be responsible for any adverse effects occurring including, without limitation, any allergic reactions, or for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, sustained, or incurred by customers in connection with the treatment. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms seeks to exclude liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.


13. Customers may purchase a gift voucher on behalf of a recipient, which can be redeemed against a Service Booking. The recipient will be required to present the voucher and photo ID at the time of their treatment and may be required to provide proof of purchase of the voucher. Please see the reverse of the voucher for full terms and conditions.


Product Offer


14. To redeem the Product Offer, customers must purchase products from the same product category as those used during their appointment. Please ask in store for more details.


15. The Product Offer may be redeemed on the date of the service only. Any value not used shall be forfeited and will not be transferable to a future purchase.


16. Departmental and brand exclusions apply to the Product Offer, including but not limited to: Chanel, Dior, Drybar, Townhouse, Harrods’ retail products and H Beauty restaurants and cafes, in all H Beauty stores. Purchases from other Harrods or online at harrods.com are excluded from the Product Offer.

Harrods Limited (“Harrods”) accepts your order for bespoke alterations to your garment set out overleaf (the “Garment”) (the “Alteration Services”) subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). Save for your statutory rights, these Terms constitute the entire understanding and agreement between yourself and Harrods regarding the Alteration Services and supersede and replace any and all prior agreements. These Terms may be amended only in writing signed by both parties.


1. Order and payment


You confirm that:


a. You (or the recipient of the Garment (as applicable)) have had a fitting with The Tailors and the details of the proposed Alteration Services (as set out overleaf) (“
Alteration Instructions”) are accurate and in accordance with your instructions.


b. Where the Garment is for a child (under the age of 16), you confirm that you are that child’s parent/legal guardian (18+) and agreed to and were present at all times during that child’s fitting.


c. The Garment is either new or has been dry cleaned before being presented to Harrods. Harrods reserves the right to refuse to carry out the Alteration Services if it considers a Garment to be soiled or unclean.


d. You understand that the fee stated overleaf (the “
Alteration Fee”) is payable in advance of the Alteration Services being performed, and upon signature of these Terms.


e. You understand that the Alteration Fee is an estimate based on the Alteration Instructions and includes one set of alterations only.


f. You are aware that if further alterations are needed to the Garment outside of the Alteration Instructions, Harrods reserves the right to request an additional fee from you. In this scenario, Harrods will contact you using the contact details overleaf (“
Contact Details”) to confirm the additional work and fee required. Payment of this additional fee must be received by Harrods prior to any additional alterations being undertaken.


g. You understand that save for any breach of clause 2.a by Harrods, the Garment is left with Harrods at your own risk.


2. Completion of your order and collection


a. Harrods will conduct the Alteration Services in accordance with the Alteration Instructions and using reasonable skill and care.


b. We expect your order to be completed by the completion date and time stated overleaf (“
Completion Time”). We will contact you in the unlikely event that we need more time to complete the Alteration Services and in this scenario we will provide you with a new Completion Time.


c. Harrods will contact you once the Alteration Services are complete using the Contact Details.


d. If you wish to check whether the Alteration Services are complete please contact the department that you originally purchased the Garment from (if purchased at Harrods) or The Tailors Team (if purchased elsewhere).


e. For instore collections: to collect the completed Garment, you (and the recipient of the Garment (if applicable) must bring the physical docket, or show the digital copy of the docket/ticket, to either (a) the department where the Garment was originally purchased (for items purchased at Harrods); or (b) The Tailors department (for items purchased elsewhere).

f. Delivery service for off-premises alterations: where the Alteration Instructions were taken at an alternative location outside the store (such as your home), Harrods may deliver your completed Garment to a nominated delivery address, subject to you paying a separate delivery fee (UK addresses only, charges starting from £20 depending on location) may upon your request will contact you to agree a time and date for the delivery of your completed Garment to an address in the UK. A member of The Tailors team will be present at time of delivery. Harrods reserves the right to charge a redelivery fee if you (or an authorised representative) are not available to take delivery of the completed Garment at the agreed time and date at the agreed delivery address.


g. When collecting (or receiving delivery of) the Garment, you (or the recipient of the Garment (as applicable)) will be required to try on the Garment and confirm that it has been altered in accordance with the Alteration Instructions.


h. If it is determined whilst in-store or at the time of delivery (as applicable) that the Garment has not been altered in accordance with the Alteration Instructions, Harrods will conduct such additional alterations as are required to bring the Garment in line with the Alteration Instructions (at Harrods’ cost and as soon as reasonably practicable).


i. If you leave the store or accept delivery of the Garment (as applicable) without raising any concerns that the Garment does not comply with the Alteration Instructions (including where the Garment is not tried on in-store or any concerns are not notified to The Tailors team at the time of delivery), you are deemed to accept that the Garment fully complies with the Alteration Instructions.


j. If the Completion Time passes and you do not collect or arrange for the delivery of (as applicable) the Garment, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the Contact Details. In the event that you do not collect (or arrange for delivery of) your Garment within 6 months of the Completion Time, Harrods will either dispose of the Garment or donate it to charity. Harrods will bear no liability at all in these circumstances.


3. Additional Terms


a. If the Garment has been purchased at Harrods, it will be non-returnable once altered (in accordance with Harrods’ returns policy). Your statutory rights are not affected.


b. If there is a tack fitting of the Garment but you then decide not to proceed with the full Alteration Services, the Garment may be un-tacked but Harrods will retain the full Alteration Fee.


c. In circumstances where Harrods decides (at its discretion) not undertake any work on the Garment (e.g. where the Garment is soiled) Harrods will notify you (using the Contact Details) and will return the Alteration Fee to you in full upon collection of the Garment.


d. Subject to clause 3.f of these Terms, Harrods’ only liability in relation to the Garment and/or the Alteration Services shall be for a breach of clause 2.a. In this scenario, Harrods will only be liable for the losses (if any) that you suffer as a direct and natural result of our breach. We will not be responsible for any losses which arise as an indirect result of our breach which would not have been contemplated by us at the time of your order. Furthermore, we do not accept responsibility to pay damages to you in respect of any loss of enjoyment, loss of profit or loss of opportunity. Without prejudice to the foregoing, Harrods’ maximum aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms, the Garment and/or the Alteration Services shall not exceed £5,000.


e. Nothing in these Terms will affect your statutory rights or limit our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.


f. To avoid doubt, Harrods accepts no liability for damage caused to your Garment whilst in the care of any dry cleaners, other alteration services or third parties engaged on your behalf.


g. If any part of these Terms are found to be unenforceable, it will not affect the enforceability of the remainder of these Terms.


h. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these Terms.


i. These Terms and any disputes or claims arising under or in connection with them (including non- contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by English law. The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising under or in connection with these Terms (including non-contractual disputes or claims).


4. Privacy


a. The details provided by you in accordance with this order for Alteration Services will be used by Harrods to fulfil your order and to communicate with you regarding your order. We will retain the Contact Details for six months from the Completion Time (or if later, from the date of delivery/collection of the Garment).


b. You acknowledge and agree that to complete your order for Alteration Services Harrods may need to share the personal data provided by you with trusted third parties.
