The currency that you will be charged in is determined by your shipping destination and will be displayed at checkout before completing your purchase. If your local currency is unavailable, your order will be charged in USD at our designated exchange rate.

For online orders to UK and EU addresses, UK VAT is applied, meaning that these orders are not eligible for a VAT refund. For orders to non-EU addresses, UK VAT is not applicable and will be deducted automatically from the total price at checkout. 

There is no option to apply discount codes to orders on Harrods. Discount codes that have been branded as Harrods elsewhere cannot be applied to any online orders. As part of Harrods Rewards, we host several promotional events throughout the year, such as our 10% Rewards Weekends, when members can enjoy 10% off selected lines when signed in to their online account. The final price, including any taxes and duties, will be displayed at checkout. You can review the total cost, including all charges, before confirming your order.

We will authorise your card at checkout, with payment being taken on the earliest of up to 5 days following the date of your order or once your order has been dispatched to you.


Please note: should your order be cancelled, we will immediately issue a refund. This can take up to 10 business days to show in your bank account.

Payment for your order will be processed either at the time of purchase or after 5 business days. For instant payment methods, such as PayPal, charges will be applied immediately. If your order is cancelled, we will process your refund right away.

You can use a Harrods Gift Card for online purchases, but only for orders placed for UK delivery.


Gift Cards can be used in our Knightsbridge store and H beauty stores, including restaurants and services. Please note that they are non-refundable and cannot be used at airport locations.

Gift Cards are automatically deactivated after 24 consecutive months of non-use. To reactivate your Gift Card or replace a lost Gift Card, please contact our Customer Service team. Alternatively, you can visit our Customer Service department on the Third Floor in-store for further assistance.

You can check your gift card balance in-store at any till point. To check your gift card balance online, proceed to the final step of checkout where you can select the option "Use a Harrods Gift Card" during payment. Your current gift card balance will be displayed.

Yes, you may use a maximum of five Gift Cards and one Credit Card per transaction. Please note: you must use the full balance of one Gift Card before proceeding to the next payment method.

Unfortunately, Gift Cards are non-transferable, which means we cannot combine the balances across multiple Gift Cards onto one Gift Card.

Unfortunately, Gift Cards can only be purchased in store using cash or card payments or online using card payments or PayPal.

Payments may be declined at the point of purchase or after placing an order. If your order has been declined at checkout when placing an order, it may be due to insufficient funds or a block placed by your bank. In these instances, contact your card provider for further information about this transaction. We may also need to decline payment if your transaction has not cleared our security checks. For further assistance with declined payments, please contact our Customer Service team.


Yes! You can redeem your points against orders that are shipping to the UK. Simply log into your online account, select your rewards points as a payment method and enter the value you wish to use. For security reasons, you will be asked to complete 2-Factor Authentication before redeeming your points. Please note: Rewards points cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards.

In-Store:


Requests can be completed in-store with our Customer Service team on the Third Floor. This is restricted to 10 receipts per customer, per company, per day. Customer must provide the following information:

  • Proof of purchase, i.e. a physical or digital copy of the receipt

  • Company name

  • Company address

  • VAT number


Requests containing more than 10 receipts are to be sumbitted via email to [email protected] along with the relevant information.

Requests must be sumbitted to [email protected] with images of the receipts and a completed Business VAT Invoice Request Form.


Please kindly note that requests will not be accepted without proof of purchase.

Unfortunately not, however, a physical receipt for in-store purchases for the value of less than £250 is a valid invoice and can be submitted to HMRC for the purposes of reclaiming VAT.

Unfortunately, without a store receipt, which shows proof of purchase, we cannot proceed with a Business VAT Invoice Request.

Requests will be processed within 21 days of receipt of the request.

If there is an error on your invoice, please contact Customer Service and provide the invoice reference number, date of issue and an explanation of the error.

If you require a copy of a previously issued Business VAT invoice, please contact Customer Service and provide your company name, VAT number and the date you originally requested the invoice.
