Events

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to events hosted by the Promoter at the Harrods, Knightsbridge store (each an “Event”, together the “Events”). Additional details and terms will apply to individual Events and will be notified to customers prior to booking for the relevant Event. 

  2. All Events are subject to availability and any stated maximum capacities. Unless stated otherwise, spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and customers must follow the Promoter’s specific instructions regarding the Event booking process. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, illegible or corrupted information provided by a customer in relation to an Event and/or any inability of the Promoter to contact a customer regarding an Event.

  3. Customers are required to arrive at Events promptly for the stated start time. Customers who arrive late to Events may not be permitted entry.

  4. The Promoter reserves the right to request a valid form of photo ID prior to entry to an Event. Where applicable, the Promoter may also ask customers to produce their ticket and/or booking confirmation corresponding to their photo ID. If a customer is unable to provide a valid form of photo ID and/or ticket and/or booking reference to the Promoter’s satisfaction, none of that customer’s party will be permitted to attend the Event.

  5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to an Event at its sole discretion.

  6. Where children are permitted to attend an Event (in accordance with any specific Event terms) they must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian (18+) at all times.

  7. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of an Event and/or to cancel an Event in unforeseen circumstances. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any disappointment suffered as a result of failure to attend an Event.

  8. By booking and attending an Event, customers agree (on their own behalf and on behalf of any guests attending with them) to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any specific terms applicable to the relevant Event (including, without limit, any age restrictions).

  9. Where food and drink is available at an Event it may contain allergens including, without limitation, shellfish, dairy, eggs, nuts, gluten, wheat and soya. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any adverse effects resulting from food or drink consumed at an Event (including but not limited to allergic reactions) or for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, sustained or incurred by an attendee, or any loss or damage to property as a result of attending an Event.

  10. Customers understand that they may be required to provide personal information about themselves and the other Event attendees to (a) the Promoter; and (b) BookingBug Limited (where an Event is booked through BookingBug), for the purpose of administering the Event. By submitting this personal information, customers consent (on behalf of themselves and any other named individuals) to the Promoter and (where applicable) BookingBug Limited collecting and storing the personal information submitted and additionally confirm that they have the express consent of any named individuals to provide their personal information for these purposes.   11. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any specific Event terms, the specific Event terms shall take precedence to the extent necessary to resolve any such conflict. For more information regarding Events, please contact customer.service@harrods.com

  12. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion and shall notify any amended Terms and Conditions on its website at www.harrods.com/en-gb/legal/events

  13. These Terms and Conditions and any specific Event terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Mini Harrods Fashion Workshop

1. The Mini Harrods Fashion Workshops ("Workshop(s)") are open to selected Mini Harrods members and will take place on Sunday 5th August and Sunday 12th August 2018 on the Fourth Floor of the Harrods Crown Court Building (the "Location").

2. There will be one workshop on each of the dates stated above at 10am – 12pm. Attendees must enter the Location through the Harrods staff entrance on Basil Street and those who arrive late may not be permitted entry to the relevant Workshop.

3. Subject to the maximum capacity for each Workshop stated below, each booking permits a maximum of two Mini Harrods members (aged between 6 and 10) and a maximum of two parents or legal guardians (18+) (“Guardians”). A maximum of 20 Mini Harrods members can attend each Workshop and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All Mini Harrods members must be accompanied and supervised by their Guardian at all times. Only children will participate in the Workshop, but Guardians will receive drinks and canapes.

4. To apply for their child(ren) to attend a Workshop, Guardians must follow the link contained in the invitation email and complete the RSVP form provided by BookingBug Limited ("RSVP"), indicating their preferred Workshop as well as the other information required (all fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory). RSVPs must be submitted by Thursday 19th August 2018 however, since spaces are limited, the Workshops may fill up before this date.

5. Successful Guardians will receive an email response (in accordance with the email address provided in the RSVP) stating that they have a confirmed place at a selected Workshop for the named attendee(s).

6. By submitting an RSVP, each Guardian confirms that they are 18 or over and the parent or legal guardian of at least one of the named Mini Harrods member(s) attending the Workshop (as listed on the Mini Harrods account). Each Guardian also confirms, for any Mini Harrods member named on the RSVP that is not their own child, that they have permission to provide the consents herein from the parent or legal guardian of that Mini Harrods member and for the Mini Harrods member to attend the Workshop with that Guardian. Furthermore, that Guardian confirms that they have permission from any other Guardian attending the Workshop with them to provide the consents herein.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to request a valid form of photo ID from the Guardians prior to entry to a Workshop. If a Guardian is unable to provide a valid form of photo ID corresponding with that Guardian’s name registered to the Workshop, none of the party will be permitted to attend the Workshop. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to the Workshops at its sole discretion.

8. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of a Workshop in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any disappointment suffered as a result of failure to attend a Workshop or for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, illegible or corrupted RSVPs and/or Guardians’ contact details.

9. Food and drink available at the Workshops may contain allergens including, without limitation, shellfish, dairy, eggs, nuts, gluten, wheat and soya. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any adverse effects resulting from food or drink consumed at a Workshop (including but not limited to allergic reactions) or for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, sustained or incurred by an attendee, or any loss or damage to property as a result of attending a Workshop.

10. The Promoter may take photographs and/or video footage during the Workshops for marketing and promotional purposes, both internal and external ("Promotional Material"). Unless otherwise notified to the Promoter, by completing the RSVP and attending the Workshop, Guardians consent to the Promoter using these photographs and/or video footage and images of themselves and the Mini Harrods member(s) attending the Workshop with them in such Promotional Material without restriction and without any compensation. In the event that Guardians do not wish for photographs/videos of themselves and their accompanying child(ren) taken at the Workshop to be used in such Promotional Material, they must indicate this to the Promoter.

11. By attending the Workshop, Guardians agree (on their own behalf and on behalf of the attending Mini Harrods member(s)) to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and to the child(ren) attending with them being named publically as an attendee at the Workshop.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion and shall notify any amended Terms and Conditions on its website at www.harrods.com/en-gb/legal/events

13. By submitting an RSVP, those Guardians confirm that they understand that the Promoter and BookingBug Limited need to collect personal information about themselves and the other attendees of the Workshop and consent (on behalf of themselves, the other attending Guardian (if applicable) and the child(ren) attending the Workshop) to the Promoter and BookingBug Limited collecting and storing the information contained on the RSVP for the purposes of administering the Workshop. The Promoter will use information about Mini Harrods members and their registered Guardians in accordance with the Mini Harrods terms and conditions (www.harrods.com/en-gb/legal/mini-harrods-terms-and-conditions). Harrods Toy Detective Experience

1. The Harrods Toy Detective experiences (each an “Experience”, together the “Experiences”) are open to Mini Harrods members aged between 5 and 10 and will take place on Sunday 29th July 2018, Sunday 26th August 2018, Sunday 30th September 2018, Sunday 28th October 2018 and Sunday 25th November 2018 in Harrods Toys on the Fourth Floor of the Harrods Knightsbridge store (the “Store”).

2. Each Experience will take place from 10am – 11:30am. Guests must arrive at Door 4 of the Store located on Hans Crescent by 9:55am in time for the Experience. Attendees who arrive late may not be permitted entry to the Experience.

3. Each booking to an Experience permits a Mini Harrods member (aged between 5 and 10) and their parent/legal guardian (18+) (as stated on the Mini Harrods account) (“Guardian”). If desired, a friend (also aged between 5 and 10) and/or another adult (18+) (“Adult”) can be added to the booking. There is a booking deposit of £30 for the Mini Harrods member and £30 for their friend (if attending). The booking deposit will be refunded onto the Guardian’s Harrods Rewards Card on the date of the Experience and will be available to spend in store for one month from the date of the Experience. 4. To book an Experience the Guardian must follow the link contained in the invitation email and complete the RSVP form (“RSVP”), indicating their preferred Experience date as well as the other information required (all fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory). Guardians will only be able to book spaces for the Experience dates indicated in each invitation email that they receive. Spaces at Experiences are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. In the event that an Experience is fully booked, Guardians will be able to sign up to a waiting list and will be contacted in the event of a booking becoming available.

5. Guardians will receive an automatic email response (to the email address included in the RSVP) stating that they have a booking provisionally reserved and that if successful a member of the Promoter’s Customer Service team will be in contact by telephone (using the telephone number contained in the RSVP) to take the booking deposit and confirm the booking. Once the booking deposit has been successfully taken, the Guardian will receive a confirmation email to confirm that their booking is complete.

6. The Promoter will make a maximum of three attempts to call Guardians and bookings will not be confirmed until the booking deposit is successfully received by the Promoter. If the Promoter is unable to contact a Guardian in accordance with this condition 6, that Guardian’s provisional reservation will be cancelled.

7. By submitting an RSVP, the Guardian confirms that they are 18 or over and the parent/legal guardian of the named Mini Harrods member (as stated on the Mini Harrods account). Guardian also confirms that they are either the parent or legal guardian of the named friend or have permission from the friend’s parent/legal guardian for the friend to attend the Experience with the Guardian and for the Guardian to provide the consents herein. Guardians also confirm that they have the permission of any Adult to RSVP on their behalf and to provide the consents herein.

8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any disappointment suffered as a result of failure to attend an Experience or for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, illegible or corrupted RSVPs or Guardian contact details which are incorrect whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise or inability to respond to a Guardian.

9. When paying the booking deposit, Guardians will need to confirm the names of all attendees on the RSVP. Once the booking deposit has been successfully taken, the booking will be registered for the names given on the RSVP. Any amendments to the names stated on the RSVP must be made online by following the link on the confirmation email the Guardian receives. Any amendments must be made at least 7 days before the date of the relevant Experience. Bookings cannot be amended after this date.

10. Guardians must show their email booking confirmation and photo ID and must confirm the names of all attendees to be permitted entry to an Experience. In the event that a Guardian is unable to provide their email booking confirmation and a valid form of photo ID corresponding with the name registered to the booking to the satisfaction of the Promoter, none of the parties registered under that Guardian’s name will be permitted to attend the Experience. The Promoter reserves the right to ask any Adult to also show their photo ID and to refuse entry to any Adult who is unable to do so.

11. At the Experience, the children will take part in an immersive detective activity. All children must be accompanied and supervised by the Guardian at all times.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the Experiences or to cancel any of the Experiences in the event of unforeseen circumstances. The Promoter will make reasonable endeavours to rearrange any affected bookings but if no suitable alternative Experience can be found, the Promoter will refund the full booking deposit to the Guardian. The refund will be issued onto the card used to pay the booking deposit.

13. Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to any Experience at its sole discretion.

14. Bookings for an Experience do not include transport to and from the Store or any other expenses, which shall be the sole liability of the Guardian.

15. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be responsible for any adverse effects or for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, sustained or incurred by an attendee, or any loss or damage to property as a result of attending an Experience.

16. By submitting an RSVP Guardians agree (on their own behalf, on behalf of any Adult (if applicable) and on behalf of the child(ren) they are accompanying) to be bound by these terms and conditions.

17. In the event a Guardian and their group are unable to attend an Experience once a booking has been confirmed, the Guardian should cancel their booking by following the link on their booking confirmation email no less than 7 days before the date of the relevant Experience. Harrods may, at its sole discretion, provide an alternative Experience date, subject to availability. In the event that a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before the Experience date and/or if the booking is not fulfilled for any reason (including late arrival) the booking deposit will not be refunded onto the Guardian’s Rewards card and will be lost.

18. The Promoter may take photographs and/or video footage during the Experiences for marketing and promotional purposes (both internal and external) (“Promotional Material”). Unless indicated otherwise to the Promoter, by submitting an RSVP and attending an Experience, Guardians consent (on their own behalf and on behalf of the Adult (if applicable) and the child(ren) accompanying them) to the Promoter using these photographs and/or video footage, and images of themselves, the Adult and the child(ren) attending the Experience with them, in such Promotional Material without restriction or any compensation. In the event that Guardians do not wish photographs and/or video footage of themselves, an Adult and/or their accompanying child(ren) taken at the Experience to be used in such Promotional Material, they must indicate this to the Promoter and ensure that they and the Adult and /or child(ren) accompanying them wear for the duration of the Experience a “no Photography” sticker (which will be issued upon entry to the Experience).

19. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion and shall notify any amended Terms and Conditions on its website at www.harrods.com/en-gb/legal/mini-harrods-terms-and-conditions

20. By submitting an RSVP, Guardians confirm that they understand that the Promoter needs to collect personal information about the Guardians and the other attendees of the Experience. By submitting an RSVP, Guardians consent (on behalf of themselves, the Adult (if applicable) and the child(ren) attending the Experience) to the Promoter and BookingBug Limited collecting and storing the information contained on the RSVP. The Promoter and BookingBug Limited will use this personal information for the purposes of administering the Experiences. The Promoter will use information about Mini Harrods members and their registered Guardians in accordance with the Mini Harrods terms and conditions (www.harrods.com/en-gb/legal/mini-harrods-terms-and-conditions). Darcey Bussell Book Signing, 9th November 2018

Customers who purchase an ‘Evolved’ book by Darcey Bussell (the “Author”) either (i) online (by following the Eventbrite link found at harrods.com/booksignings) between 24 October 2018 and 14:00 on 8 November 2018 (inclusive) or (ii) in-store from the Harrods Bookshop (third floor) between 13:00 and 17:00 on 9 November 2018 (in each case whilst stocks last), will be eligible to attend the Author’s book signing on 9 November 2018.  For online purchases only, customers will be required to complete the Eventbrite online registration to be eligible to attend the book signing.

Actual attendance at the book signing is subject to the terms and conditions set out below.  Books will be sold on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability.  There are limited number of 100 pre-sale copies available for online purchase via Eventbrite and 50 copies available for in-store purchase within the dates/times stated above.  Each customer may purchase a maximum of 3 books which may (subject to the terms and conditions below) be signed on 9 November 2018 and purchases made via telephone with Harrods Bookshop are excluded. Harrods Rewards points will not be earnt on purchases made online via Eventbrite.

Attendance at the book signing is strictly limited to customers who purchase a book within the time periods stated above and who bring (a) their confirmation email confirming payment and their space at the book signing (for online purchases via Eventbrite) and/or (b) their valid receipt (for in-store purchases).

Customers must collect their book(s) by providing their payment confirmation to the Harrods Bookshop on 9 November 2018 between 17:00 and 18:30 and can then join the queue for the book signing.  Books will be signed on a first come, first served basis and customers are advised to arrive early to minimise disappointment.  The Author will be signing books between 18:00 to 19:00.  Due to the limited time available, Harrods cannot guarantee that all qualifying books will be signed. Harrods regrets that the Author will not be able to include any personalised dedications on signing.

Those under 18 must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. Only books purchased from Harrods (either online via Eventbrite, or in store from the Harrods Bookshop) within the dates and times stated above will be accepted and books will be non-refundable when signed (statutory rights are not affected).  No other merchandise will be signed.  

A photo opportunity will be available with the Author at the signing table (maximum of one photograph per person). Harrods accepts no responsibility for any disappointment incurred or suffered as a result of customers being unable to have their book(s) signed or a photograph taken due to their acts or omissions or unavailability for any reason.

Those without a valid book and payment confirmation will not be permitted join the queue for the signing. This offer is non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged.
