Casablanca (the brand) owes a lot to Casablanca (the Moroccan city) – the latter is where founder Charaf Tajer’s parents met and fell in love. Tajer himself grew up in Paris, channelling both his French and Moroccan heritage into Casablanca clothing. That’s why coveted Casablanca shorts, for example, offer a generous palette as suited to the Stade Roland Garros as to the sun-baked cities of North Africa.
